The WEIS company was founded in 1982 by Detlev Weis.
Detlev Weis graduated as a Power Engineer, then started working for ASEA Sweden (now ABB) on Breaker Production, Service and Maintenance (everything up to 400kV).
WEIS GMBH & CO. KG has worked as an independent company since 1982 and has more than 40 years of experience in the ‘Power Business’.
Based on his pioneering work more than 40 years ago, Detlev Weis developed analogue techniques to measure the micro-ohm profile of a moving contact and time a breaker with both sides of the breaker connected to ground/earth.
WEIS GMBH & CO. KG has applied its expertise to develop robust test equipment with preventative maintenance in mind for power utilities facing ever increasing demands for more reliable low cost energy and on-time maintenance.
